Nev Campbell has been in business
for over 20 years and over the years he has built great clients. The shop is
small and they can only work on only three cars at a time, so he should buy out
one of the unused garages right next to his shop to expand the work area so
that they can work on more cars than before. With this happening he will need
to hire more employees, because we wouldn't want to change the whole location
because it may be harder for some of his clients to get there and be familiar
with the place. That's why we recommend for him to expand his business by
staying exactly where he’s at and buy out the garage right next to him.
Quality Certification
The quality certification is total
quality management, which is a philosophy that stresses three principles
(customer satisfaction, employee involvement, and continuous improvement) for
achieving high level of process performance and quality. The prize given to
individuals or businesses that successfully implement TQM is the Deming Prize,
in honor of Edwards Deming, who helped Japan’s economy post World War II. Also,
six sigma is another quality certification that achieves, sustains, and
maximizes business success by minimizing defects and variability in processes.
Our company does not have any certifications and is not big enough to obtain
such certifications. However, we strongly recommend that they obtain other
quality and employee training certifications available to auto repair services.
Following are certifications available: ASE National Institute for Automotive
Service Excellence certification, Better Business Bureau accreditation, and
Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association. These certifications will
certainly give the company a great competitive advantage and help achieve long
term success through customer satisfaction. Additionally, the company should
provide their employees with training every three months to further ensure that
the quality is at the highest level.
